A Scent-imental Evening is a play on traditional Valentine’s Day storytelling that blends tactile design with character-driven humor. Using frame-by-frame technique, the narrative transforms everyday objects; perfume bottles, letter dice, and pop-up cards into lively animated characters facing off in a battle of fragrance.
The Concept & Narrative
The short begins in a romantic setting inside an intricate 3D pop-up card featuring two elegant perfume bottles (Redd and Chic). The moment is quickly disrupted when Stinky, a gross, trash-like character, rolls in to ruin the mood with a cloud of foul green smog. Refusing to let their evening be ruined, the duo calls upon “Scent Force” to blast the intruder away with a wave of fresh perfume spray, restoring peace just in time for the card to close.
